Great Gretuski Studios is seeking a talented freelance creative writer(s) to join our team! As a pioneering game development studio specializing in interactive romance fiction, we are dedicated to creating captivating experiences that immerse players in compelling romantic narratives.
We have multiple projects spanning different genres currently in development, but romance is at the forefront of all the stories we create. An ideal candidate will have both experience & passion for writing romance.
Responsibilites:

Collaborate with our creative team to develop engaging and immersive romance storylines for interactive game experiences.

Develop, engage, and expand upon pre-established characters, worldbuilding, and lore.

Create strong narrative outlines and scripts for feature-length episodic game projects.

Craft entertaining dialogue and enticing interactions that drive the narrative forward.

Ensure consistency in writing style, tone, and continuity throughout the script.

Adapt to project requirements and feedback, incorporating changes to enhance the storytelling experience.

Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and authenticity in historical, cultural, and thematic elements of the narrative.
Required Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older.

A literary academic degree OR 2-3 years of professional experience as a creative writer.

Native-level fluency in the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Ability to write in various tones and styles, adapting to different genres and projects.

Proficiency in meeting deadlines and potentially managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong creative writing skills to ideate unique plotlines, characters, and branching paths.

A passion for otome games and romance visual novels as a storytelling medium.
Writing Test

Write a 600(+) word scene based on the instructions provided to you in the document.

You will need to write the test scene in the custom writing format specified in the sample.
This will mirror the formatting style of major deliverables for this position.
